EL HUMO DEL AMAZONAS LLEGÓ A LA REGIÓN
Lo confirmó el Servicio Meteorológico Nacional. Ya alcanzó el norte de Argentina y depende del viento cómo avance sobre el territorio.
Los incendios que arden en el Amazonas alcanzan un nivel récord. Y sus efectos van más allá de la zona quemada. El humo se extiende por otras partes de la región, afectando a varios países.
“Al norte de Argentina ya llegó el humo. A toda la zona de Formosa, parte de Chaco, Misiones y Salta. Esto es común, ocurre siempre en esta época. Porque además hay focos de incendio distribuidos homogéneamente en el norte de Argentina, en Brasil, Bolivia y Paraguay. Se mezclan, no podés diferenciarlos”, dice a Clarín Cindy Fernández, meteoróloga del Servicio Meteorológico Nacional (SMN).
En la mañana de este viernes, según los registros del SMN, hay visibilidad reducida en San Juan, La Rioja, Tucumán, Salta, Resistencia, Mercedes (Corrientes) y el norte de Santa Fe. El organismo oficial lo atribuye a la presencia de humo que proviene de los incendios de toda la zona amazónica que abarca el norte de Argentina, Bolivia, Brasil y Paraguay.
“Va a seguir desplazándose hacia el sur, porque tenemos viento norte. Además, el sábado va a predominar el viento y va a hacer que todo el aire del norte se dirija hacia el sur”, sigue la meteoróloga.
Como vamos a tener viento norte varios días seguidos, hay posibilidad de que el humo se acerque a Buenos Aires. “Puede tranquilamente llegar hasta el centro de Argentina. Desde este viernes y sábado ya tenemos chances, dependiendo de la intensidad del viento”, pronostica Fernández.
Ante la consulta de si lo vamos a ver a simple vista, responde que depende de las condiciones meteorológicas que haya. También es posible que en los lugares descampados se note mucho más que en la ciudad.
“Pero, de cualquier forma, va a haber momentos en que se va a hacer visible. Lo que vamos a notar es como una bruma, como una niebla. Y es muy posible que los amaneceres y los atardeceres sean rojizos”, explica la meteoróloga. Y agrega que este fenómeno puede provocar efectos en la salud para las personas con problemas respiratorios.
Para Álvaro Scardilli, presidente del Centro Argentino de Meteorólogos (CAM), esta trayectoria es menos lineal. “El recorrido que tiene esto en la atmósfera es inmenso. Puede llegar a algunas partes de la Argentina, no necesariamente a Buenos Aires. Se podría encontrar presencia de lo que se llama ‘la pluma’ de las cenizas en la zona norte del país. De hecho, en estos días, las cenizas estaban llegando al Océano Atlántico”, explica Scardilli.
El experto coincide en que la circulación de las masas de aire en estos días determinará si llega y cómo llega. Y señaló que será “de manera muy difusa” “No va a tener una presencia destacada. Por lo menos, por ahora. Hay que ver con los días cómo sigue evolucionando el tema”, comenta.
Respecto a si puede impactar en la salud, el meteorólogo es más cauto y sostiene que en las zonas más alejadas, como sería nuestro caso, en general el transporte es en las capas más altas de la atmósfera y tendría que decantar en una proporción muy grande como para llegar a afectar
