Productores yerbateros actualizarán el precio de la materia prima en consonancia con los últimos aumentos que debieron soportar. Los cambios se apreciarían en las góndolas a principios de abril.
El precio actual del kilo de hoja verde es de $8,40 y el kilo de canchada es de $31,90. Los costos se elevarían entre 10,83 y 13 pesos para el primer caso, y pasarían a $40 para la canchada.
La suba no es arbitraria, sino que se encuadra en un procedimiento establecido por ley que les permite a los productores actualizar el precio en base a los costos y aumentos que sufre todo el proceso productivo durante los últimos seis meses.
En las góndolas el precio del kilo de yerba mate oscila entre 90 y más de 100 pesos, valores que se mantendrían hasta el 31 de marzo. Sin embargo, con los nuevos valores el paquete de la misma cantidad pasaría a costar alrededor de 160 pesos. Los montos se mantendrán en el semestre abril – septiembre de 2019.
El Instituto Nacional de la Yerba Mate es un ente de Derecho Público no estatal con jurisdicción en todo el Territorio de la República Argentina, creado por ley Nº25.564, cuyos objetivos son: promover, fomentar y fortalecer el desarrollo de la producción, elaboración, industrialización, comercialización y consumo de la yerba mate y derivados.
Estar integrado por un Directorio de 12 personas que representan a todos los sectores de la cadena yerbatera, incluyendo representantes de las dos provincias productoras y uno de la nación, todos los planteos y opiniones son volcados y analizados en la mesa de discusión.
