Los protagonistas fueron un automóvil de alta gama marca Audi A6 con un ocupante en grave estado, un camión, y un Fiat Uno con cinco ocupantes (entre ellos al menos un menor) de los cuales dos fallecieron y dos están heridos de gravedad, y fueron trasladados a Charata.
Según el testimonio del camionero (oriundo de Gancedo), el Audi venía detrás e intentó pasarlo, y de frente venía el Fiat Uno, con quien colisionó frontalmente. En esas circunstancias el Audi también pegó contra la rueda trasera del camión, arrancó el espejo y dañó la cabina.
El siniestro ocurrió en el acceso entre en calle 22 y Ruta 89. El Audi A6 era conducido por un hombre, quien resultó gravemente herido, y otro vehículo un Fiat, con cinco ocupantes, de los cuales dos fallecieron en el acto, uno un hombre y una mujer (los bomberos aún trabajaban por sacarlos). Mientras que cuatro personas fueron llevadas en muy grave estado, en principio al Hospital de Charata.
