Las ventas minoristas cayeron 9.2% en septiembre
Con muy poca gente en las calles, las ventas minoristas de los comercios pymes cayeron 9,2% en septiembre frente a igual mes del año pasado, medidas a precios constantes. Acumulan una baja anual de 4,3% en los primeros nueve meses del año.
Frente a agosto bajaron 2,8% (sin desestacionalizar), que se explica porque la demanda de consumo estuvo muy parada durante todo el mes. Es que septiembre tiene un día menos y, particularmente este año, al cierre por el Día del Empleado de Comercio se sumó el paro que dejó pérdidas en el sector por $12.539 millones.
Todos los ramos que componen la oferta minorista se retrajeron, incluyendo caídas de dos dígitos en 11 de los 17 rubros relevados.
Durante septiembre, el 78% de los negocios consultados tuvo bajas anuales en sus ventas, mientras que sólo el 14,7% creció y el 7,3% se mantuvo sin cambios. Ni siquiera las ofertas de hasta 50% de descuento en productos como textiles, blanquería, calzados, marroquinería o bazares parecieron despertar el interés de la gente.
Un efecto que perjudicó al comercio es la cantidad de familias que se organizan en grupos para ir a comprar directamente a los mayoristas. Está siendo una práctica cada vez más habitual. Donde mejor anduvieron las ventas fue en el canal online, que sigue ganando público, aunque en septiembre también se vendió menos en la comparación anual. Todos los meses más negocios se suman a esa modalidad, tratando de adecuarse al segmento de consumidores más jóvenes que compran desde sus celulares.
