Renault paraliza su producción y suspende a sus 1500 operarios en Córdoba
La automotriz de capitales franceses Renault Argentina suspendió hoy a sus 1.500 operarios y paralizó la planta de producción que tiene en Córdoba hasta el viernes inclusive por el derrumbe de ventas.
La empresa decidió parar la planta tras alcanzar un acuerdo con el Sindicato de Mecánicos y Afines del Transporte Automotor (SMATA), con la idea de evitar futuros despidos en el corto y mediano plazo, informaron a NA fuentes sindicales.
Se trata de un plan de contingencia que podría repetirse en las próximas semanas dado que la compañía -al igual que sus competidoras- tiene stock que no está pudiendo colocar en el mercado por la notable baja en la demanda de vehículos.
La venta de automóviles cero kilómetro cayó un 42,8% anual en febrero, hasta las 39.825 unidades.
Los indicadores de ventas y patentamientos son negativos desde septiembre pasado y al menos por ahora en la industria no ven señales de recuperación hasta el segundo semestre.
Según informó la Asociación de Concesionarios de Automotores de la República Argentina (Acara), los autos patentados durante febrero de 2019 representan una baja del 33,7% en comparación con el mes anterior.
Las suspensiones de Renault llegaron una semana después de que la automotriz Peugeot suspendiera por dos meses a 2.000 trabajadores de la planta ubicada en la ciudad bonaerense de El Palomar, en un contexto de crisis que golpea fuerte al sector automotriz y afecta a más de 7.000 operarios en todo el país.
La medida tomada por Peugeot es apenas un indicador de la crítica situación que enfrenta el sector, con cierres, despidos, suspensiones y adelantamiento de vacaciones y que en general está trabajando a sólo una cuarta parte del potencial, según cifras del INDEC.
También la semana pasada la fábrica de carrocerías de colectivos Metalpar cerró la planta que tenía en el partido de San Martín y echó a 600 empleados, entre operarios, personal de limpieza y seguridad.
