Sorprendente hallazgo en el estómago de una ballena muerta
Rescatistas del Parque Nacional de Wakatobi hablaron sobre la sorpresa que se llevaron al revisar al cetáceo muerto en la costa de la isla de Sulawesi.
Un grupo de pescadores encontró una ballena apareció muerta en la costa de la isla de Sulawesi, Indonesia. Lo sorprendente fue que hallaron seis kilos de plástico en su estómago.
Entre los objetos plásticos hallados dentro del cetáceo había 115 vasos de plástico, 25 bolsas de plástico, dos chancletas, un saco de nylon y otros mil fragmentos de dicho material.
Según notificaron los rescatistas del Parque Nacional de Wakatobi, el cadáver de 9,5 metros se encontraba en descomposición y algunos pobladores habían comenzado a cortar la carcasa podrida.
Dwi Suprapti, coordinadora de conservación de especies marinas en WWF de Indonesia, informó que no es posible determinar si el plástico en el interior del animal tuvo que ver con la causa de la muerte.
